O mnie

Professor Michał Strzelecki, D.Sc., Ph.D., Eng. has been employed at the Institute of Electronics at Lodz University of Technology (TUL) since 1988 and has held the position of full professor since 2019. From 2004 to 2019, he served as the Deputy Director of the Institute, and from 2016 to 2020, he was the Vice-Dean for Science and Development at the Faculty of Electrical, Electronic, Computer and Control Engineering.

Professor Strzelecki’s scientific interests include the processing and analysis of biomedical signals and images, as well as data analysis methods. He is particularly interested in  image texture analysis and the applications and hardware implementations of artificial neural networks. He also has developed software for quantitative medical imaging diagnostics. As part of these interests, Professor Strzelecki collaborates with national and international medical universities on the construction and development of diagnostic support systems.

Professor Strzelecki has participated in numerous international research programs, including COST B21, BM1103, TD1007 (Management Committee member), DGF, 7FP, and projects funded by NCN and NCBiR. He is the author or co-author of over 200 scientific articles and conference papers. From 2006 to 2008, he was a Visiting Professor at Jeonbuk National University, Jeonju, Republic of Korea.

He is a member of the Polish Society for Image Processing (member of the board 2012-2016) and the Polish Society of Medical Informatics. He also belongs to the European Campus Card Association (member of the board 2006-2015, vice-president 2016-2019), the Lodz Scientific Society, and the Polish Academy of Engineering.

Professor Strzelecki has long experience working on expert and competition panels. He is an expert for NCBiR, NCN, MNiSW, and the Signal, Circuit and Electronic Systems Section of the Polish Academy of Sciences Committee on Electronics and Telecommunications. He has evaluated international projects for the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development of the Chilean Government, the Research Promotion Foundation of Cyprus, the Czech Health Research Council, the Czech Science Foundation, COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, Horizon Europe, and the Latvian Council of Science.
