Neuro-Physiological Signals in HCI

This course explores the integration of neuro-physiological (NP) signals in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). The main focus is on the use of neuro-physiological research methods in User Experience (UX) evaluation. NP signals are examined as additional input for interactive systems. The course covers measurement modalities such as eye-tracking, EEG, GSR, HRV, and other approaches, emphasizing both theoretical foundations and practical applications. Students will critically assess the strengths, limitations, and ethical considerations of these techniques, and gain hands-on experience through projects and case studies.
